It’s Okay To Not Be Okay

Just a reminder, it’s okay to not be okay and it’s not weak to ask for help

 

It seems that the whole universe seems to be going through some shit right now. While I wish I could tell you what moons are causing it, what I can tell you is that you’re not alone, we’re all collectively going through it, and it’s okay to not be okay right now.

 

I know there’s this stigma that we’re all supposed to put on a brave, happy face and pretend the world isn’t on fire, but as mental health becomes more and more normalized, I think it’s safe to say that you don’t have to keep up with the facade. No, it doesn’t make you weak to let people know you’re struggling. No, it doesn’t make you weak to ask people for help.

 

When I reached out for help very publicly on my personal Facebook account, I was met with an outpouring of love and support and reassurance that I’m not weak for asking for help – and neither are you. We are humans. We crave love and support from other humans. It’s just what we do. And we cannot move through life alone, try as we might.

 

So while society may tell you that you need to be happy 24/7, and you need to push through, and not being okay or asking for help is weak, I am here to tell you that it’s okay to not be okay. It’s okay to ask for help. It’s okay to let people know that you’re struggling. It’s okay.

 

You’re a bad beautiful bitch and you’re doing your absolute best, whatever that looks like. You got this and if you need help, I got you 💕 I love you, I support you, and I’m here for you. Keep kicking ass.
