A few weeks ago I was lucky enough to get to participate in a shadow shoot with Amy. A fellow photographer had reached out for a behind the scenes look at shooting boudoir photography.
Paul Mannone (ig: pmannone) is Rockford based and normally shoots portraiture and abstract photography, but on this day he got to experience the Boudie life with Amy and I!
It was such an exciting experience, to watch Amy and Paul walk through the step by step process Laced In Black follows. Amy spoke about the pre-shoot questions she goes over with all her clients, the preparation process for her inclusive Laced In Black Boudoir experience, and how she works to makes her models feel comfortable and confident. I can personally attest to how welcoming Amy and her studio are. From the moment you walk in, there is a friendly, encouraging ambiance as Amy shows you around the studio. She’s the ultimate hype woman, cheering you on non stop throughout your shoot.
As our shoot continued, my confidence absolutely soared, so much so, that all the layers came off 😉
Yup that’s right. I got “nudie” in the Boudie studio.
It’s a thrilling experience to have the emotional support from such a talented photographer. I left the studio feeling like a brand new woman.
A boudoir shoot with Amy is always filled with empowerment, reassurance, and inspiration and it was such an honor to be a part of someone else witnessing her magic!
